The most complete itinerary, which will make you enjoy the wonders of Tanzania without haste: you will come into contact with the wildest nature have the possibility of taking a walking safari in the Tarangire park (optional on request), meet the proud Masai warriors in person and you will visit their village (included), you will see 3 of the 7 wonders of Africa: the Ngorongoro crater, the boundless plain of the Serengeti and Mount Kilimanjaro. The program is completed by Natron park and its lunar landscape and famous lake with its typical red color, an unforgettable journey you will always cherish!
DAY 1 Arrival /Arusha
Arrival at the airport, meeting with the guide and transfer to the selected lodge in Arusha or nearby, overnight stay.
Day 2 - Tarangire
Breakfast at the lodge, departure for the Tarangire national park, picnic lunch and first photo game in the park. This is the area of Tanzania where you can see the largest number of elephants: only in the Tarangire do matriarchal families of up to 100 individuals meet, and it is possible to spot 500 to 1000 elephants in a single day! The park is also inhabited by large colonies of baboons, cheetahs and lions; you will also have the opportunity to see many Baobab trees, typical of this area. Finally, the Tarangire is the only national park in which some fields are licensed to organize walking safaris (ask us for more information if you think you want to try the experience of a walking safari escorted by professional guides and rangers).
Day 3 Tarangire - Manyara
Wake up early in the morning and, after a hot coffee, leave for the game drive at dawn. Return to the lodge in time for breakfast; at the end check out and departure from the Tarangire park. Coming out of the park we will be able to make an additional game drive. During the trip (included) excursion to the village of Mto Wa Mbu for a walk of about 1 hour with a local guide, one of the few opportunities to get in touch with the real life of the small villages of Tanzania and understand how the population really lives Tanzanian at the edge of national parks. Arrival at the lodge, lunch at the lodge restaurant, in the early afternoon entry to the park and afternoon game drive. At the end, arrival at the lodge, dinner and overnight stay. The Lake Manyara national park consists of a strip of land about 50 km long and between 6 and 8 km wide that includes the homonymous lake and extends to the steep slope of the Rift Valley. Since 1981, it is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Particularly well known are the lions of Manyara, which have the habit of climbing trees in this area. The abundance of birds makes the lake a true paradise for bird watching, especially for the strong presence of pink flamingos. Ernest Hemingway, who described his safari in this area in the novel Verdi Hills of Africa, called the Manyara "the most beautiful lake in all of Africa".
Day 4 - Ngorongoro conservation area
Breakfast at the lodge and departure for the Ngorongoro conservation area. Day at the game drive, picnic lunch at the crater, at the end of the lodge, at 2.200 meters with panoramic views of the caldera, dinner and overnight stay. The entire area of the Ngorongoro was declared at World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. The crater is almost perfectly circular arena, its ranges range from 16 to 23 km, its surface is about 265 square kilometers and it is only intact caldera existing on earth. The only thing that will make your experience unforgettable is that it will make you experience unforgettable!
Day 5 - Serengeti
Breakfast at the lodge and departure for the Serengeti National Park. Picnic lunch in equipped air. Arrived at the Naabi entrance of the Serengeti park, with a short walk, you can climb at the small hill which offers an incredible view of the southern part of the park; first game drive at the lodge / tented camp, located directly inside the park. Dinner and overnight stay. The Serengeti National Park is one of the "big five": elephant, lion, leopard, rhino (black) and buffalo. The park is home to 1.5 million wildebeests, 300,000 zebras, 150,000 gazelles, 3000 lions and 1360 elephants, the typical type of vegetation of the Serengeti, the open savannah, facilitated sightings and for this reason is possible to have unparalleled game drives here.
Day 6 Serengeti
Breakfast at the lodge, tent camps, picnic lunches and return to the lodge / tented camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 7 - Serengeti
Full board at the lodge / tented camp. Wake up at dawn for the morning game drive, hot coffee and departure for the game drive. Return to the lodge / tented camp for breakfast, free time to relax and rest. In the afternoon departure for a further photo game at sunset, at the end return to the lodge, dinner overnight.
Day 8 - Serengeti - Lake Natron
Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure for Lake Natron and the last game drive in the north-eastern part of the Serengeti park. To reach the lake we will therefore follow a different route than the previous route that led us to the Serengeti. We will use a track that will give us wonderful and very different views; Picnic lunch being transferred. In the afternoon excursion on foot along the Engare Sero stream that flows into a narrow rocky gorge until you reach a waterfall where you can swim. At the end, accommodation at the lodge / tented camp and overnight stay Lake Natron is a usual nesting area for millions of pink flamingos that, especially during the dry season (June-October), crowd its banks. The extremely arid area is dominated by the perfect cone of the Oldoinyo Leng'ai, the volcano sacred to the Maasai people. Its altitude reaches 3000 meters: the Oldoinyo Leng'ai is the only volcano in the world to emit natro-carbonatite lava, rich in sodium carbonate, with very low viscosity and temperature, given that it flows between 500 and 590 ° C .
Day 9 - Lake Natron
Full board at the lodge / tented camp. If the weather conditions permit, you can expect to see the sunrise on the shores of the Lake. Departure in the morning to reach the shores of the lake and admire the flamingos colonies, visit the fossilized footprints of Engare Sero brought to light in 2008 and visit to a Masai village. Return on foot to the lodge / tented camp.
Day 10 - Arusha
Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure to return to Arusha, lunch in a restaurant in the city, transfer to the airport in time for your flight.
